Festival Calendar and administrative papyrus
On the recto of CGT54021 there is a ritual festival
calendar with lists of offerings as well as
some lines belonging to the text on the verso.
The verso is a journal account which contains
several texts. There is a lengthy account of emmer wheat and barley allotted to
individuals and groups among which there are “foreigners”. There is an account
of hiring a donkey with the mention of an oath taken by one of the parties
involved in the transaction. Finally there is a text stating the proceedings of
a dispute between the policeman Nesamun and the workman Ta about a theft
supposedly committed by the latter.
