Magical papyrus
Papyrus Cat. 1994 is a fragmentary manuscript written in the hieratic script.
The recto of the papyrus contains a short line of an administrative text, followed by a magical text written on two columns. In the first part of the spell are written the names of various deities who are addressed by the invocation. The second part is dedicated to instructions for the preparation and application of a remedy for healing a snake bite.
The verso of the papyrus bears traces of washed-off writing, barely legible due to the bad state of preservation. According to the style of the handwriting, however, it can be assumed that the original text was of literary character.
