General description

Magical papyrus Thoth

Papyrus CGT 54070 is a fragmentary manuscript written in the hieratic script, of which only a small fragment remains.

The recto of the papyrus contains a magical spell recognized as a copy from the "Magical book of Thoth" (papyrus CGT 54050). According to the few words preserved, the spell probably aimed at guaranteeing full protection to the body of the patient, by means of the association of every body part with a deity.

On the verso of the papyrus an administrative text is written.
