Greek papyrus with the report of a sentence
The
papyrus, written in Greek, records the proceedings of a quarrel between Horus,
son of Harsiese, and his fellow choachytes (= 'those who offer libations', an
organisation that dealt with the funerary cult of the dead), against the man Hermias,
over the possession of a house. The priest Hermias claimed his share of the
house but lost the case.
