Incantesimi protettivi
Cat. 1858 è un piccolo papiro che potrebbe esser stato indossato come amuleto, iscritto con un incantesimo protettivo relativo al capitolo 100 del Libro dei Morti. Il papiro fu realizzato per lo scriba reale Butehamon e l’incantesimo gli avrebbe permesso di salire sulla barca solare del dio Ra e avrebbe protetto il suo corpo terreno da ogni ingiuria. Sotto di esso, sono raffigurate diverse immagini riguardanti il ciclo solare. Sul verso, poi, è stata disegnata una serie di occhi Wedjat protettivi.

Two deities are represented beneath Text Recto 1. The right deity is has a mummified body with two rams heads wearing an Atef crown and an ankh symbol in its hands. The left deity is a falcon with a solar disk on its head. These two deities represent the morning and nocturnal forms of the sun god Re A long line divides these two images from the image of Nut drawn on the right side (see Text Recto 3)

A female goddess representing Nut is drawn holding two different forms of the sun in her hands. In her left hand, the sun is represented in its morning form as a regular sun-disk. In her left hand, the sun is represented in its nocturnal form as the god Atum with a sun-disk on its head. The goddess is flanked by two snakes in black with a red zigzag line painted on top of the black ink. Near the back of the goddess, several figures are drawn at an angle in red and black ink. The first two figures are crocodiles, the first one is preceded by a sun-disk, the second one by a Wedjat eye. The last two figures are a scarab holding a sun-disk and the head of a ram.

LP: A set of four Wedjat eyes drawn in a line. All are facing to the right, except the leftmost one, which faces to the left. Above the left eyes is a red sun-disk with a black border, possibly suggesting a seated figure of the god Ra. Behind the disk the head with headdress, the knees and the base line of another seated figure (Isis, according to Demichelis) can be seen. Only tiny traces of the figures to the right of the solar disk have been preserved.
